Hello! Bonjour!

This February newsletter is full of love and history.

Both of my bestselling novels feature love stories at their core, but not in the typical ways you might imagine.

The February sale of my debut novel My Memory Told Me a Secret is on now. Click here to grab your copy in paperback or on any eBook reader.

‘A fraught love story between white London lawyer Austin and noncommittal Noah — a Muslim man dealing with personal and family issues — gets more complicated with each page. When drugs, HIV and stigma enter the relationship, so does tragedy.’ — POZ Magazine

If you already have a copy, pick some up for friends by clicking the “Give As A Gift” link on the Amazon page. And please remember to leave a review. Reviews help independent authors get the recognition they deserve.

February is LGBT History Month in the UK. My novel A Dragonfly’s Wing is about what happens when you mix Britain’s new prime minister and her secret past; a writer whose new book seems all too real; his former roommate, now a French cultural attaché; and a young gay homeless man who needs to escape from his mother and her abusive boyfriend. Prepare for intrigue as all of their paths converge.

‘A Dragonfly’s Wing is a moving LGBT coming of age novel. … Between its political intrigues and emotional highs and lows, A Dragonfly’s Wing sheds light on underwritten issues such as poverty nestled among the affluent.’ — Indies Today

February is also Black History Month in the United States. As some of you know, I am proud to have graduated from an HBCU, Lincoln University of Missouri. Go Blue Tigers! In September 2006, I represented Lincoln at the White House Initiative on HBCUs in Washington, DC where I read a Congressional Proclamation.
